About Me I am trained as a secondary school science teacher and have a four year old daughter. I now work for the NHS as an Information analyst and am completing a Masters in Public health. During pregnancy and after birth I became a member of the NCT and have become passionate about improving the birth experience and early motherhood for other women. I considered training as a midwife but then discovered Doula's and found the role they played could meet the needs I found lacked support during my experiences. After attending a friends birth (see birth story) I attended a city and Guilds accredited Doula course run over 4 days by British Doula's.
I have training in basic aromatherapy massage and have used alternative therapies at most births (at clients request) from aromatherapy, homeopathy, acupressure and OFP.
